Ravensara has strong camphor tones, moderated by fresh woody undertones. It is cleansing, calming, and balancing. It could be used to help maintain clear airways and nasal passages.

Sometimes called Clove Nutmeg, it is an evergreen tree, originating in Madagascar and has broad leaves, the genus includes not only shrubs but also large trees reaching heights in excess of 30 meters at maturity. Habitats include evergreen broadleaved forest, mixed coniferous-broadleaved forest, low-elevation evergreen forest and littoral rainforest and feature soils of all types. The leaves and twigs of this tree are similar in aroma to Eucalyptus and it is used widely in the perfume industry.
