Blended With

Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot kernel oil has traditionally been incorporated into cosmetic products for its softening action on the skin and is used in soaps and cold creams. Apricot is a natural moisturiser, helps to prevent dry, itchy skin.

Coconut Oil

Coconut fractionated oil (fat removed to make the product an oil and not a solid) is emollient and nourishing and due to its clear nature is the perfect base for applying to wrists and temples.

Lavender True (French) Essential Oil

With its calming scent, balanced and floral notes it creates a serene ambience, promoting relaxation and tranquillity. Sourced from a small farming co-operative in the south of France our Lavender is 50% linalool (alcohol) and 50% esters and grown at 1600 metres above sea level to ensure the chemistry is perfect for sleep inducement. It is distilled for up to 5 times longer than lavender for perfumery!

Studies using lavender oil as a sleep aid show great improvement in sleep and also fewer trips to the loo during the night ( Azri et al 2010).

Lavender has been documented as a therapeutic agent as far back as the ancient Greeks and Romans. Both dried foliage and essential oil have remained continuously popular as both therapeutic and cosmetic agents to the present day (Cavanagh and Wikinson, 2002). The plant is commonly purported to have anti-depressant, anxiolytic and sedative properties, thus its essential oil has been used often for relaxation. Reduction of anxiety can aid in getting to sleep, and there is some evidence to support lavender’s reputed anxiolytic effect.
