Spanish Sage Essential Oil is a pale yellow liquid with a fresh camphorous, slightly floral scent with woody undertones.
It is an evergreen shrub, similar to garden sage but with narrower leaves and small purple flowers. The plant is very aromatic – reminiscent of spike lavender. native to the mountains in Spain, it also grows in southwest France but the essential oil is mainly produced in France. A very similar oil is distilled in Turkey from a Greek variety which is used for pharmaceutical purposes. Other types include Clary and Sage.
