Shea Butter provides soothing, regenerating and protective properties. Shea butter contains allantoin, a substance that is found to stimulate the growth of healthy tissue in ulcerous wounds (Warra, 2011).
Shea butter is also known to be a natural emollient which means it will help dry skin and skin cracking. Two ingredients from shea butter are; triterpene acetate and cinamate esters, research suggests that these two ingredients also possess anti-inflammatory properties (Varothai, Nitayavardhana and Kulthanan, 2013).
Vitamin E is one of the best ways of supporting your skin, it helps and supports the body in various ways. Vitamin E is an essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties, it’s also an antioxidant which helps the body at fighting with free radicals in the environment. Vitamin E is also known to be beneficial at reducing UV damage to the skin (Whelan, 2018).
The components in bergamot oil give it its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making this oil an effective treatment for acne in people who do not have sensitive skin (Whelan and Wilson, 2018).

Another property of the essential oil is to act as a natural skin toner and reduce any skin blemishes, it encourages a clear and healthy look. Research into this oil also suggests that it can be an insect repellent, the scent of the oil can repel bugs such as mosquitoes etc (Pazinato et al., 2016)
