This Essential Oil is an aroma reminiscent of eucalyptus, it is a pale amber-coloured oil with a warm, herbaceous, camphorous odour with green overtones.
A perennial plant about 60cms high with a hairy stem, dark green leaves and small white flowers. The plant is highly aromatic and the oil is distilled from the flowering tops. Native to the Mediterranean region, Egypt and North Africa. Major oil-producing countries include France, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Hungary and Germany. There is a great deal of confusion regarding the various species of marjoram and oregano, The most common types are French and Spanish.
