Our CBD oil is an extract that undergoes CO2 extraction. It is neither an essential oil nor a carrier oil; instead, it falls under the category of an extract. CBD oil is taken from the whole plant as opposed to Hemp Oil which is expressed from the seeds. It is legal and non-intoxicating as it has no psychoactive or addictive effects due to it containing less than 0.05% THC. 

The plant is indigenous to Eastern Asia but it is now widely grown all around the world. The Hemp plant is used as an industrial fiber, fabric, seed oil, food, recreation, medicine, and religious and spiritual moods. First classified by Carl Linnaeus, the Sweedish Botanist the word Sativa means things that are cultivated.
